The Dobermann, or Doberman Pinscher, is a medium to large breed of domestic dog that was originally developed around 1890 by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann, a tax collector from Germany. The Dobermann has a muscular, athletic build and a short, smooth coat that comes in four colours: black, red, blue, and fawn. It is a highly intelligent breed of dog that is known for its speed, agility, and obedience. Dobermanns are often stereotyped as aggressive and ferocious, but this is not necessarily true. They are loyal and loving companions, and are often used as guard dogs, police dogs, and search and rescue dogs.
