Nordic combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The sport consists of two parts: ski jumping and cross-country skiing. Ski jumping takes place on a ski jumping hill, where athletes jump as far as possible. Cross-country skiing takes place on a cross-country skiing track, where athletes ski as fast as possible.
