1. A percolator is a type of coffee maker that uses a process of heating and circulating water to make coffee. The percolator works by heating water which is then forced up through a tube and into a filter basket where the coffee is placed, before flowing back down into the container. This process is repeated several times until the coffee has reached the desired strength.
